Apple just announced that they are now allowing free apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch to include the ability for in app purchasing. This free-now-pay-later-to-upgrade business model has worked on other platfroms, so we’ll see how it goes for the developers and more importnatly whether or not it gets consumer buy-in, so to speak.
