Clicky Adds Awesome Twitter Analytics Feature

in Web Analytics

As I mentioned a while back in my post on real-time analytics, I use Clicky in addition to Google Analytics for most of my web stats. I’ve always found Clicky to be an very powerful, while affordable web analytics service, but the capabilities of Clicky recently got even more impressive. Last week, Clicky launched their newest analytics tool, Twitter  Brand Monitor.

The Twitter Brand Monitor is really an amazing tool. With this new feature, Clicky users can easily monitor and analyze any Twitter activity that mentions their website, brand, or anything else for that matter. Setting up your monitoring is really easy. Users just go to the Twitter tab in their web stats, choose setup and add the terms that they want monitored. That’s it! Clicky will automatically begin monitoring Twitter for you and updates your stats every 30 minutes.

It is really cool how detailed the Clicky-Twitter stats are. Once Clicky begins to monitor  your search terms, you will get all sorts of detailed analytics including:

  • How many tweets contain your term over a given time frame?
  • How many of the tweets had a positive tone versus a negative one?
  • What links are being shared in relation to your term?
  • Who is most vocal about that topic?
  • Who were the primary recipients of the related tweets?
  • And even more!

By now, you are probably familiar with the awesome marketing power of Twitter and this tool can help you make the most of it. It isn’t hard to see that there are so many different ways to use Twitter Brand Monitor in your marketing, research, and brand management. I’ve been using the tool to monitor Tweets related to my websites and brand, but also as a tool to monitor some of my competitors.

Clicky has posted a demo of the new Twitter feature on their website that you can check out to see all of the information collected by the tool. The fact that Clicky is including this tool for all of its paid membership plans turns an already great value into an amazing one. If you want to try out the new Twitter features for yourself, you can sign up for a free account on the Clicky website.
