Despite the last toolbar Pagerank update occurring late last month, it appears that Google started another PR update last night (June 23). Typically these updates only take place every three months or so, making this a very strange occurrence. I haven’t noticed any Pagerank changes for any of my websites yet, but there are hundreds of reports today of others seeing an update.
Each PR update usually takes a couple of days to fully take effect, so even if you haven’t seen a change, you still could. All I can assume is that perhaps Google is updating PR based on some of the recent changes to its algorithm. If I find any better details on this oddly timed update, I’ll pass it along!

Hey Justin,
. There has been a lot of talk from them about the No Follow attribute and giving more weight to it.
You know the big G moves in mysterious ways and they are always changing the goalposts. My own network of blogs has certainly had its ups and downs of late, more down than up
I recently trashed the Do Follow plugin from Web-WorkAtHome because it was attracting too much spam and leaking link juice.
On a lighter note I am happy with their recent change to Adsense text blocks, I have seen a marked improvement in revenue.
I like your new service, hope it does well for you. I would be delighted to promote it on my blog. Will sign up first thing tomorrow. See you later, Bill

I’m not giving up on do follow quite yet, but I am pretty selective on which comments I allow. Google seems to be all out of whack these days. Who knows what they’ll do next!
It’s a good thing I think that now Google is updating pagerank more frequent…

Whenever Google goes through an update it is one of those things where everyone crosses their fingers. If you are doing things the right way you shouldn’t have a problem.
