Google has started its latest Pagerank update. While a webpage’s actual Pagerank is recalculated constantly by Google for the purposes of its search results, it only provides “public” updates every three months or so. Each update can be an exciting or depressing time for webmasters as we watch Google’s opinion of our site’s value bounce around. For those of you that have been working hard on building backlinks to your website, the update will allow you to see your progress and tell if your efforts are paying off.
Please keep in mind that it is possible for the PR of your pages to change anytime over the next several days. If your website(s) saw a PR increase with this latest update, congratulations! If your backlinking techniques and marketing efforts aren’t yet paying off, don’t worry. Building a strong Pagerank can take time and your quality links should only improve with time!

Mate I was happy that my PR increased from 0 to 3 with this update. But there is a small issue. I write sponsored posts and start them with ‘This is a sponsored post’ coz I respect the intelligence of visitors to my blog. Shud I try and conceal my sponsored posts? I know google punishes link sellers. Is writing sponsored posts considered selling links?
It is basically the same as selling links if you don’t disclose in some manner that it is a sponsored post. I think that if you really believe what you are writing about the sponsor, it’s ok with or without disclosure. Just don’t lie to your readers without telling them you got paid for it
