Google has announced several updates to Webmaster Tools which it has dubbed “Summer Shine”. None of the changes are too significant, but here is a summary of the Summer Shine:
- Site selector now lists all of your verified sites and allows you to search as you type. This will be a nice feature for those of you with dozens of sites in your Webmaster Tools.
- Users can block non-homepage sitelinks. In the past, if you owned example.com, you couldn’t block sitelinks for example.com/email.
- Now it is possible to see any URL removal requests submitted by other users for any sites you own, and revoke them if you choose.
- Also, the main Webmasters Tools page has been improved to make it easier to see which websites are verified and which are unverified.
