Increased Holiday Web Traffic Failed To Produce Sales

According to a recently released comScore report, internet retailers ended the 2008 holiday season with lower sales levels than last year. Despite online retail traffic increasing some 5% over 2007, overall holiday sales declined approximately 3%. The decline in sales was the first recorded since comScore began tracking the statistics in 2001.
