Which Markets Deserve Your Marketing Dollars

As we implement the various non traditional marketing tactics into our campaigns using the secrets of guerrilla marketing and further optimizing campaigns, it’s important to recognize that there are three major customer segments that can be applied to almost any industry. These principles are those of Jay Conrad Levinson, “The Godfather of Guerrilla Marketing.”

Those three markets and the (appropriate percentage of your marketing dollar allocation):

Universe (10% of Marketing Budget)

Prospects (30% of Marketing Budget)

Customers (60% of Marketing Budget)

It cost 1/6 as much to market to an existing customer, therefor we want to focus a majority of our marketing budget on building stronger relationships with our customers and growing accounts/sales/upt etc.
