Microsoft’s PubCenter Beta Goes Live in US

April 27, 2009

in Internet Marketing News

Lookout Google, Microsoft is taking its shot at Adsense. The company has finally released its new PubCenter Beta to the public, but only in the United States. Pubcenter is a contextual advertising program that will allow users to display ads coming from Microsoft’s advertising networks on their websites. The current beta release of PubCenter allows web publishers to:

  1. Customize ads to match the look and feel of each website
  2. Gain access to the large Microsoft advertising network
  3. Track ad performance using various analytics tools

It remains to be seen whether PubCenter will be a better alternative to AdSense for some web publishers, but I have to assume that having more options can’t hurt. If you want to sign up for the Microsoft PubCenter Beta program, visit the PubCenter website.
