Google and Bing recently introduced real time search in their search results, including showing relevant twitter feeds in the results. The major search engines are trying to keep up with today’s info hungry consumer who want extremely relevant search results. This day and age, yesterday is old news. In an effort to keep up with fastest growing search engine Bing and Google, Yahoo is talking about merging with real time search company OneRiot to provide similar results to their users. This would mean the third largest search engine would start to compete with Bing and Google for real time search. As some would call this a copycat move, others would say it is a necessity for Yahoo to stay relevant.
