Twitter is dominated by the Gen Y’ers out there right? Not according to data released by comScore. Surprisingly, the top demographic of Twitter users is actually the 45-54 year old crowd. Granted, the 25-34 age group comes in a close second, but I was still very surprised to see the boomer crowd so into Twitter. Twitter has been rapidly growing its user base and has seen especially strong growth internationally. Personally, I don’t think the Twitter craze will last, but there is no disputing the power and popularity of the social site right now.
