Whiskey.com sold for a whopping $185,000 in the live auction at T.R.A.F.F.I.C. New York last month, Domain Name Journal Reports. According to DN Journal, it is one of the top 35 sales year to date. This reminds me of the BEER.com story. Bill Fish bought the domain back in 1993 and sold it to Mike Zapolin of the Internet Real Estate Group in 1999 for $80,000. In a matter of months, the domain sold for $7,000,000(not a typo). How’s that for ROI.
