Yahoo Loses Ground in April Search Rankings

Nielsen Online has released their search market share rankings for April and Google and MSN were both winners during the month. Google’s share of searches during April grew 7.8% while MSN also had solid growth of 7.2%. Two search engines that lost ground were Yahoo and AOL which saw their share of the search market drop 2.8% and 7.8%, respectively. Nielsen estimates that Google made up 64.2% of the total search market during April. Despite its monthly decline, Yahoo still ranked #2 with 15.8% of the market.
